Lady GaGa's The Born This Way Ball - 24.6.12 - The Last Sydney Show

Last night (24.6.12) my mothers friend Michael, my partner Oliver and myself went to Sydney to visit The Born This Way Ball. Needless to say it was amazing and it really did set me free. My favourite parts were the entrance on the horse, the motorised dresses, and the motorbike part (Lady GaGa has a very attractive derrière). Another awesome aspect of this event was the sense of unity I felt and the very successful mexican wave. On the day we also went to see the movie, Snow White and the Huntsmen. We also had lunch and went shopping. Overall it was an amazing day that I hope I never forget because if I do my non existent vagina may be weeping just like Lady GaGa's was. Thank you Michael for inviting us to go and Oliver for coming (I lov you Ollie). Long live Mother Monster!

P.S. Lady GaGa is such a talented performer and is very funny and I recommend her shows to everyone.

Second Anniversary of Oliver and Dean

Greetings. Today I would like to make a short post about the second year anniversary of Oliver and I. Today (21.6.12) is our anniversary and yesterday we celebrated it by going to lunch and shopping I had the greatest time and everyday of the last two years has been a blessing. If any of you guys wish to share your favourite anniversary memory with me please comment on this post.

commitments

Today I would like to talk about commitment. Commitment is very important if you want something to work and/or become of good quality, in the case of this blog I have not been posting as regularly as I would have preferred. The cause of my irregular posting is my bad sleeping habits and other activities I do during my day that leave me to tired to do anything else. Although I am excusing my absence from this blog nothing can deny the fact that I have not stayed committed to this project, and there is no excuse for that. This may not affect many people out there as it seems not many people are reading and becoming interested in my posts, but this does not bother me as this blog is my voice and my opinions and as long as I put them out there I am happy. Finally I would like to say that many people do not keep up with their commitments especially with regards to the internet and blogging which is probably due to their lives outside the internet, so please do not be harsh towards them for they also have lives to live as well as you.

P.S. my next post will be within the next two days, I promise.

Electricity

Hello. Today I want to talk about modern life, our dependancy on electricity and how electricity has created the world we live in today. The science of electricity has been studied for thousands of years but not as extensively as in the 18th century and beyond. The earliest person known to study the science of electricity was Thales of Miletos who studied electricity around 600BCE, but probably the most well known researcher of electricity was Benjamin Franklin. Benjamin Franklin conducted his research on electricity within the 18th century. This extensive research into electricity and our knowledge on how to harvest electricity has made it possible to live much more comfortably but my concern is that it has made life so comfortable that it has made us dependent upon electricity to get through our everyday lives. When one thinks about it, it is very astounding how prolific the use of electricity is in our lives today. Take a look around you and think what would my surroundings look like if we did not know how to harvest electricity and use it for our benefit, consider that many things are produced in factories that use electricity and many items in our homes are electrical. Finally I would like people to consider the negative side of electricity, consider the damage caused to the environment through the use of non renewable energies and also the social disconnection caused by electronic devices among many other things.

Vesak

Due to my excitement about Queen Elizabeths diamond jubilee, I completely forgot to make a mention of Vesak. Vesak is a Buddhist festival and celebrates the birth, enlightenment and death of Siddhartha Gautama, also known as the Buddha and was celebrated on the 27th of may in Australia this year. Vesak is a beautiful celebration that I learnt much about from my partner who is a Buddhist himself and through my studies of religion class which I took during my final year of high school. It is celebrated in many different ways  according to country and the different forms of Buddhism. It is a very beautiful celebration and I would love to attend many of the Vesak celebrations within Australia in the future. The Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II

This weekend (2-5 June 2012) many people are celebrating the diamond jubilee of Queen Elizabeth the second. I myself am quite excited about this event as I feel a deep affection for The Queen and The Royal Family. The fact that not many modern Australians feel the same way as I do about The Royal Family and believe that The Royal Family do not have much connection to our country as expressed through the documentary A Royal Romance. This disconnection from The Royal Family had me thinking why, why do some people have this great affection for the royal family while others do not? For me personally, I am attracted to the formality and elegance that The Royal Family represents and therefore promotes due to their high stature. The Royal Family although of high stature and formality, are also friendly and not elitist. In a world of chaos, drama, and dereliction The Royal Family provides one with hope of a better world in the future and that is why I feel deep affection for The Royal Family. As for the people who do not feel this connection to The Royal Family, I believe one reason is a lack of exposure to The Royal Family and an extensive amount of exposure to modern society. Finally I would like to wish Queen Elizabeth the second, all the best for the future. Long Live the Queen.
